Watch and Enjoy

* See a Play *
Ok so seeing a play seems kind of drab, but "Avenue Q" proved quickly to my husband that there is nothing sweet or polite about going to a play. It gives you the opportunity to dress up and an excuse to go out to dinner before and something to talk about for weeks to come.
2 Tickets: $20+
2 Drinks: $10
Total: $30

* Amateur Comedy Show
*
Get a table at a local comedy club. Admission rates are cheaper when you watch amateurs get on stage, but the comedic value—intentional or not—is more than worth the cover charge and cost of a few drinks. Note: The Laugh Factory and Irvine Improve are both $15 for "standard" tickets.
2 Tickets: $30
2 Drinks: $12
Total: $42

* Movies *
Ok, so a movie isn't something you haven't thought of, but its also not as cheap as we would like to think! Perhaps going on Sunday rather than Friday and getting a small popcorn and sneaking in a drink will save a few bucks! 'Like' Regal Cinemas on Facebook and receive concession discounts weekly!
2 Movie Tickets: $18
Popcorn: $4
2 Outsider Drinks: $3
Total: $25

* Old Movies *
There are ways to do movie dates on a budget: Find second-run theaters. They cost about $2 per person per show. Or go to a matinee of a current movie. And look up different offers in my blog, there are lots! Also, Military Discount is a big one!
2 Tickets: $4
Eats: $6
