Ralphs Tutorial

--- QUICK LINKS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--- REWARDS PROGRAM --------------------------------------------------------------

As a rewards member, you'll enjoy thousands of yellow tag savings and weekly specials. Points are tallied automatically each shopping trip – just check the bottom of your receipt for a running total. Do you have yours yet?

Just shop as you normally do and show your rewards card during checkout or enter your phone number associated with your account if you don't have your card. You’ll earn points every day on just about everything in the store. Points automatically turn into rewards certificates you can use at Ralphs to save money on groceries or treat yourself to something special. The more you shop, the more rewards you’ll get! Ralphs rewards Program Questions?
Call Ralphs rewards Hotline at 800-660-9003 from 8AM - 4PM PST or write here.

--- More Points = More Rewards ----------------------------------------------------------------------
  • Get 1 point for every $1 you spend on nearly everything at Ralphs.
  • Get a $5 rewards certificate for the first 500 points you collect.
  • Earn another $1 for each additional 100 points collected.
  • Receive your rewards certificates by mail in Feb, May, Aug, and Nov.
  • Point Doubler sent with rewards certificates; ie 100 = 200 points!
  • Earn 5 bonus points per reusable bag; limit 10 bags per transaction.

--- Pharmacy rewards -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

See your Pharmacist for details. Federally funded Prescription Drug Plans are not eligible for the Rx rewards program.

--- Shell Fuel rewards --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • When paying inside, see cashier before inserting your rewards Card.
  • Before you insert payment, follow screen prompts.
  • Insert rewards Card.
  • Select payment and fuel grade.
There is a limit of 100 points that can be redeemed in a single fuel fill-up. When you redeem 100 points you will receive 10¢ off per gallon on your fuel purchase at Ralphs and participating Shell stations. Fuel savings are limited to 35 gallons of fuel, per purchase, or limits place on your payment card by your financial institution, which may be lower. The points used are taken away from your rewards account so 100 points would take $1 off your rewards certificate.

--- COUPON POLICY ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The decision to accept a coupon is solely at the digression of the cashier. You can see a copy of the official coupon policy here. I recommend printing out a copy and keeping it with you when you shop. A few notes about acceptance and coupons:
  • $5 off $75 coupons available in: Clipper Magazine and Entertainment Guide.
  • Ralphs doubles coupons up to $1; ie 40¢ coupon = 80¢ or 75¢ coupon = $1.
  • Ralphs allows one store and one manufacturer coupon per item.
  • Ralphs does not accept internet/printed B1G1 or Freebie coupons.

--- Digital Coupons -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Digital coupons are a personal preference. I have seen several bloggers post about disliking them because they override printed coupons. I actually like them for a few reasons, the primary being that if I don't have a coupon for an item, my rewards card probably does. I noticed that digital coupons will stay on your card and can used again BUT only once per grocery trip.
  • Go here and select the coupons you would like to load to your card.
  • Click "load to card" and go shopping!
  • Another source for digital coupons is Cellfire.
  • Digital coupons do NOT double like paper coupons.

--- TIPS + TRICKS ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I know a lot of coupon-clippers like to stockpile or try to pay next to nothing, but who has the time to clip and search to make that happen every week? My goal is to save at least 50% every grocery trip and by combining coupons with the current weekly ad I always do. I suggest purchasing in bulk when it comes to items you use often like rice or frozen vegetables or other items you have ample room for that won't expire if they are on sale.

Keep an eye out for specials like $5 off 10, 8 hour sales, Double Points, or Double Coupon Value (up to $2!) and use these offers to fill your pantry with canned goods, pet food and other non-perishables.
