NOOOO! What is wrong with Cali?!?

I didn't realize it, but I have lost almost ALL of my affiliates! Amazon confirmed their removal, Commission Junction was added when I opened my email this morning...though it is unclear about Groupon, this includes a bunch of others as well and I am working very hard to find a way to make this work. I am shocked that with the downturn in California's economy they would turn things around further and hurt small businesses. I am not into politics, I did not graduate with a PHD, but I do know that for my entire adult life I have worked for myself and the economy doesn't need selfish politicians who want to make more money to shovel into the wrong pockets.

Really, this affiliate issue is much more mine than yours (the reader) but it has me very frustrated and I thought that you should know why things are changing and have changed. On a positive note, Google seems to not be changing anything, and a few other sites I work with are still on the up and up.

I don't include very much personal information on this blog but when something is relative and it causes me to have difficulties doing something that should be simple, I will post about it. About 5 years ago I had to have a major surgery which my family, doctors, etc all knew I would be in bed for at least a month. I had been working for over 10 years at that time and my doctor suggest I file for disability for the month. This sounded like a good idea, I was working for myself at the time...having only stopped working for a company about 4 months prior and my response from the state: "You do not qualify to receive disability as you "chose" to leave the work force."

I love this state, I pay more rent than most mortgages on large houses anywhere else in the country, I pay taxes, claim ALL of the money I make even if its cash and not recorded and this is how my hard work and pays me back? Sorry for the rant, I am simply disgusted that it is so difficult to get ahead and no matter whose rules you play by, they never seem to matter.
