Update time :)

Well, I am really not one to post more than straight to the point blogs with what I find to be the best deals around. I don't post things for children because, well, I don't have any so I don't look for those deals. I have noticed lately I am posting pretty much all freebies and rebates and I have been slacking on posting much more than that. A few months ago I was in an auto accident and have been recovering on the couch since, which is part of why I was able to have more time to start this blog.

Yesterday and the previous day I spent pretty much all day working on a few items from Vista Print that are much needed for this blog as well as another project and I have to say, between the Living Social deal and their amazing prices, I was able to order pretty much everything I wanted/needed for next to nothing. Also, when I had an issue with my checkout and the shipping changing, my problem was solved in a matter of 2 hours via phone and email...its always nice to have great customer service!

I am still not finished with a few key parts to this blog that I would like...like better linking to coupons and other sites I use to help find deals. Easier to access links to daily deal sites. A large page/section completed with links to all of the military discounts I know of...maybe an archive would be more useful?

I would really like to assemble my organization method and make it available to those who are looking for a new/different way to keep their coupons organized. I am in love with leopard print and happy to be in sunny So Cal, so why not have a coupon system that's functional AND nice to look at ? I love so many of the methods out there, but if you're like me, you want your coupons with you when you shop just in case there is an unadvertised sale or something you've been wanting on the 75% off shelf or clearance rack...if I could count the number of times I missed something that could have been free!

All in all, I am trying to focus my efforts more to this blog as it is my passion to save and I am forever convincing everyone around me to save as much as I do...I mean, who wants to pay full price if 10 min a day for clipping and organizing (ok, maybe more on Sunday). I know for sure, I save at least 50% on EVERY grocery bill, EVERY one! I don't wait for huge sales or really high dollar coupons and while my fave store (Ralph's) doubles, $1/1 doesn't double very far ;) Realistically though, I am buying things that are healthy and things that my husband and I ate before this whole shenanigan.

I started "couponing" because I had a problem with spending...like so many do. I wouldn't say I was addicted, but I was shopping whenever I was bored and while I was otherwise a practical person, shopping proved to be my weak spot. I dug a hole, it got deeper...and it got even deeper and I realized I had to stop and figure it out. It all started when I used a BOGO on a BOGO store sale and I only paid tax!?! I loved my "things" but of course I loved having the money more! My shopping problem quickly evolved into a saving spree and it has only gotten worse! I suppose you could be hooked on saving, but I am willing to make the effort to save more and pay off my past quicker.

I hope everyone is having a nice weekend and continues to, I am also planning to add date night ideas as I come across them...they will likely pertain to the current week/end but, a cheap date that gives my hubby and I an excuse to be romantic and not stress out about life is worth spending $15-$20 a week!
